For the General Manager at Leonardo Hotel and Conference Venue Hinckley Island, key competencies and knowledge areas include:
10. A strong background in rooms and Meetings and Events: this is a very busy hotel with 362 bedrooms and 26 conference and event rooms
11. The ability to lead and engage a team, providing day to day guidance and direction
12. The ability to drive sales and profitability forward
13. Clear focus on guest care standards and excellent commercial awareness
14. Key people skills: you’ll get the best out of your team with trust, clear communication and the ability to motivate different people
15. The ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Your responsibilities will be:
16. Leading and developing a vibrant and diverse workforce, getting involved in recruitment, learning and development, employee relations and team engagement initiatives
17. Delivering guest satisfaction: ensure managers establish and maintain quality control standards for all products and services offered by the hotel
18. Meeting and exceeding department and hotel targets, monitoring a variety of hotel systems alongside clustered support functions
19. Controlling and monitoring all hotel operations through a team of managers and supervisors
20. Controlling costs and productivity through the establishment of standards of output for all aspects of the business
21. Outperforming the market in our specific segment and ensuring that fair share is always exceeded
