Are you a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist with a passion for making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking an experienced and motivated SLT to join a unique and highly regarded specialist provision in London, supporting students with complex needs.
About the Role
In this exciting role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored therapy that enhances the communication skills and overall development of students. The school caters to children and young people aged 5-16 who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism spectrum conditions (ASC), and associated learning challenges. Many students also have additional speech, language, and communication difficulties, which play a significant role in their educational journey.
As the Speech and Language Therapist, you will:
* Conduct assessments to identify students' speech, language, and communication needs.
* Develop and deliver personalised intervention plans that align with each student's education, health, and care plans (EHCPs).
* Provide therapy through 1:1, small group, and classroom-based sessions.
* Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and other therapists to create a supportive and consistent approach to communication development.
* Offer training and guidance to staff to build capacity and understanding of speech and language needs.
What We Are Looking For
* A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
* Experience working with children and young people with SEMH, ASC, and related communication needs.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
* A commitment to delivering innovative and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
