Responsibilities
* Maintaining, servicing and repairing mechanical, electrical and electronic components of police vehicles and plant to agreed standards.
* Carry out safety inspections, diagnostic testing and problem solving.
* Attend vehicle breakdowns and complete documentation work including job sheets, service sheets, time sheets and stores requisitions.
* Work in a motor vehicle workshop environment with a focus on quality, organisation and communication, both oral and written.
* Work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Previous experience in a motor vehicle workshop environment.
* A motor vehicle related apprenticeship and a City & Guilds Motor Vehicle (Mechanical/Electrical) Technicians 1 & 2 or equivalent.
* Preferably up-to-date knowledge of health & safety within vehicle workshops, experience in a main dealership or similar organisation, and experience with various vehicle model types.
* Full current driving licence is essential.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.
