Job Title: Science Lecturer & Lead Mentor
Location: Bradford
Contract Type: Part-Time (2 days per week, with flexibility and potential for additional hours)
Start Date: As soon as possible
£25.00 - £30.00 per hour
The ideal candidate will have:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Recent experience teaching Science in an English secondary school
Understanding or experience of initial teacher training (e.g., mentoring trainees or ECTs)
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as Lead Mentor: visit schools during trainee placements, observe lessons, provide feedback, and manage documentation
* Deliver Leeds Trinity University (LTU) programme sessions to PGCE Secondary Science trainees on Fridays when required
* Liaise with LTU programme lead to ensure smooth delivery
* Support trainee development and progression
