Job Description:
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist Care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
Please note we have two 16-hour contracts per week.
As a Housekeeping Assistant, your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. You will manage cleaning routines and demonstrate a keen eye for detail, always with kindness and professionalism.
We are looking for a Housekeeper with experience, although training will be provided. Excellent time management, organizational skills, positive energy, and a natural ability to communicate effectively are essential. You should be considerate and kind in all interactions with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond appropriately. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training.
We offer full training and a range of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
* Group life assurance
* Wagestream for financial wellbeing and flexible pay access
* Learning and development opportunities with qualifications
* GP online service for you and your children under 16
* Learning from experienced colleagues
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
* Free Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support
* Recognition schemes such as ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer a friend scheme up to £1000 per referral
We are committed to inclusivity, representing the communities we serve, and supporting all applicants through a swift onboarding process.
