Business Area/Dept Overview
The APS F2B Flow (Application Production Support - Front to Booking Flow) department is a global entity providing services to the FX, EQD, Rates, and Credit businesses within the Global Market group.
* The EQD team provides solutions to EQD traders and sales through their functional expertise of the IT platform, combining Business Analyst skills with strong technical knowledge of the application architecture and configurations. They manage production environments, including platform maintenance, release deployment, capacity management, incident resolution, and the implementation of business, regulatory, and security-driven IT projects across various bank entities and functions such as trading, sales, development, compliance, regulatory, and business management.
* The EQD business operates in major hubs including London, Paris, NYK, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, with platform infrastructure hosted mainly in these regions. The team supports over 150 traders across more than 15 centers and is headquartered in London.
* The EQD stack comprises several components, from importer to position management, CC calculation, regulatory export, distributed and resilient message transfer via MQ architecture, to low latency messaging protocols like LQ2.
* This stack handles the highest volume of trades within GECD booking systems and is preparing for even higher volumes by leveraging the latest technology to enhance end-user experience through its newly launched web platform.
Purpose & Scope of Role
Scope: EMEA EQD Trading and Sales support, business and ITO project management, and production maintenance.
Purpose: Manage application support for the following desks:
* Equity financing
* Flow sales
Duties include setting up proprietary software for booking, pricing, and trading (manual and automated, market interface):
* Real-time settings
* Market access performance tuning
* Computation setup
Additional responsibilities involve electronic execution matching, deploying new releases, reporting bugs, and requesting new features or improvements from development teams.
