Principal RF Engineer
Job Description
This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled Principal RF Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge electronic and RF solutions. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will work on high-assurance projects that have a direct impact on UK defence and homeland security.
Your primary responsibilities will include developing and prototyping advanced RF and mixed-signal systems, carrying out design, simulation, and verification using tools such as ADS, CST, or Microwave Office. You will also be responsible for taking ownership of hardware design, from high-speed digital and RF PCB layout through to validation and system-level integration.
In addition to these key responsibilities, you will participate in system architecture development, often working across antennas, DSP, and embedded software teams. You will also explore novel solutions and technologies, keeping at the forefront of RF and electronic engineering.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A degree in Electronics, Physics, or a related discipline
* Experience in RF/electronics design and development
* Skilled in RF PCB design, characterisation, and lab testing
* Experience using relevant simulation and modelling tools (e.g., CST, ADS, Microwave Office)
* A track record of taking designs from concept to real-world implementation
