Are you a motivated and energetic PE Teacher with a passion for transforming lives through sport? We are looking for a dynamic educator to join an Alternative Provision/PRU in Southend-on-Sea. This full-time contract role, starting immediately, is perfect for someone who believes in the power of physical education to inspire, engage, and support students who may have struggled in mainstream education.
This is not your average teaching role—this is a chance to make a tangible impact on students' self-esteem, physical health, and emotional well-being. You'll be working with small groups, delivering PE lessons that are accessible, enjoyable, and confidence-building.
Whether you're an experienced teacher or a confident newcomer ready to take on a rewarding challenge, you'll be supported by a collaborative team that shares your commitment to inclusive education. With competitive daily rates and the opportunity to help shape a culture of resilience and achievement, this is a chance to bring out the best in every student.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging PE lessons for students with SEMH needs.
* Encourage teamwork, discipline, and personal growth through sport and activity.
* Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners in an AP/PRU setting.
* Build strong relationships and provide positive role modelling.
* Manage behaviour using trauma-informed, restorative approaches.
* Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure consistent support.
* Promote healthy lifestyles, emotional resilience, and physical well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
* QTS or relevant teaching qualification (essential).
* Experience teaching PE in an SEMH, PRU, or alternative setting (desirable).
* A calm, encouraging approach with excellent behaviour management skills.

* A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
