General Responsibilities
Responsible for detecting and preventing cyber threats to the company's computing environment. Identify weaknesses in software, hardware, and networks, and implement protective measures. Serve as an internal lead for responding to security breaches and viruses. Night and weekend hours as needed.
Essential Job Functions
1. Develop plans to safeguard computer files against unauthorized access or modification and meet emergency data processing needs.
2. Review security violations and discuss procedures with violators to prevent recurrence.
3. Implement and upgrade security measures and controls.
4. Establish protocols to protect digital files and information systems.
5. Maintain data security and monitor access.
6. Conduct vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
7. Perform security audits and risk assessments to ensure data processing security.

1. Anticipate security alerts, incidents, and disasters, and reduce their likelihood.
2. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to manage network security measures.
3. Analyze security breaches to determine root causes.
4. Recommend and install security tools and countermeasures.

7. Coordinate security plans with outside vendors.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field required.
Experience
Five (5) years in a security analyst role required, with experience in penetration testing, vulnerability remediation, network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Windows/Linux OS, scripting languages, and cloud computing.

* Preferred certifications: CEH, ECSA, EC-Council Certified Security Analyst
