Job Title: Lecturer - Plumbing & Gas
Location: East LondonContract: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £26,514 - £46,307 per annum (including London Weighting & market supplement)
Overview
A FE College is seeking a Lecturer in Plumbing & Gas to deliver high-quality teaching to apprenticeship learners. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking college with a strong reputation for vocational excellence and industry-focused training.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, inclusive teaching across Plumbing & Gas programmes
* Develop schemes of work tailored to learners with varying abilities
* Use effective assessment strategies to monitor and drive learner progress
* Provide constructive feedback to support learner development and independence
* Track attendance, progress and achievement, implementing timely interventions
* Support learners with barriers to education in an inclusive environment
* Contribute to curriculum development aligned to industry needs
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge through continuous professional development
Requirements
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
* Level 3 CAVA (Assessor qualification)
* Gas Safe Registration
* IQA Level 4 (desirable)
* 3-5 years' post-qualification industry experience
* Experience teaching in Further Education (ideally apprenticeships)
* Strong understanding of apprenticeship delivery and learner support
* Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
