JOB PURPOSE As a Transport Administrator in the Manufacturing and Production you will be responsible for maintaining a supply chain of raw materials and finished products for our client's. You will be based in Dagenham. Assisting with forecasting and planning raw material requirements, you'll help to maintain compliance with environmental and sustainability regulations. You'll work alongside the Production Team to ensure that customer needs are met and any issues are dealt with as they arise. Maintaining excellent relationships with both customers and suppliers, you'll discuss existing and future requirements and help to resolve any complaints or non-conformance's. Additionally as the Transport Administrator, you'll undertake production planning admin activities, including booking allocations, vehicle programming and container requirements. POSITION IN ORGANISATION This role reports to the Plant Manager in the Manufacturing and Production department based in Dagenham, with a dotted line to Supply Chain Manager and will not have any direct reports. KEY TASKS Provide excellent customer service Booking transport in and out of busy processing yard with third party hauliers and coordinating vehicle movements for bulk purchases and sales Booking transport for off-site brokered purchases and sales Ensure paperwork accompanying vehicles complies with ISCC and Environment Agency Process paperwork and report all purchases, sales and waste disposals on an inhouse system ensuring accurate data with volume, costs and lab results etc Chasing late deliveries and liaise with suppliers and hauliers to ensure smooth running of the weighbridge diary Monitor stock and amend deliveries/collections as required including drum stock Working closely with the production team to ensure customer needs are met and helping to solve problems when they arise Issue daily/weekly reports to customers/hauliers General admin tasks BEHAVIOURAL CHARACTERISTICS Good interpersonal skills (engagement) and an ability to work well in a team Excellent communication skills; verbal and written Takes personal ownership of their own performance Problem solving skills Well organised with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks while working under pressure Methodical approach and a high attention to detail QUALIFICATIONS GCSE English & Maths or equivalent required Formal Customer Service qualification desirable PROVEN ABILITY Experience in a telephone based customer services or sales role Experience in a logistics or delivery environment desirable Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required Proven ability to build positive customer relationships Excellent administration and organisational skills
