Forklift Driver/ Sawmill Cleaner

Location: Lockerbie
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 6pm-6am
Pay: £12.70 per hour + £40 weekly shift allowance + production bonusContract: Full‑time, temp to perm
Licence Required: Accredited FLT licence

About the Role

We're looking for a reliable and safety‑focused Forklift Driver / Sawmill Cleaner to join our team in Lockerbie. This is a split role where you'll support production by operating a forklift safely and efficiently, while also carrying out essential cleaning and housekeeping duties across the sawmill.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move timber, materials, and finished products
• Load and unload vehicles as required
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment across the sawmill
• Carry out industrial cleaning tasks, including sweeping, clearing waste, and supporting shutdown cleans
• Follow all site safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture
• Work effectively as part of a small, supportive nightshift team
• Complete basic paperwork and follow instructions from supervisors

What We're Looking For

• Accredited FLT licence - essential
• Previous experience in a sawmill, manufacturing, or industrial environment is beneficial but not required
• Good awareness of health & safety
• Someone dependable, proactive, and comfortable with physical work
• Ability to work 12‑hour nightshifts on a 4 on / 4 off pattern
