About the Role:
As a Finance, Benefits and Reporting Analyst, you'll work directly with leaders in the forces to track costs, benefits and risks on projects to ensure an improvement in service quality. This will involve working with other Joint Transformation team members, subject matter experts and key stakeholders. You'll create analytical products that demonstrate and evidence our benefit objectives and aids our effective organisational business processes improvement strategy. You will adopt a proactive approach to propose and implement redesigns for existing processes in support of the programme vision and objectives, ultimately improving our services for the public.
Key Responsibilities:
* Track, monitor and report on the finances and benefits related to the Joint Transformation Programme to demonstrate programme progress against objectives.
* Support the Business Change Manager to ensure the impact from process, structures or technology improvements identified by the Joint Transformation Programme are appropriately measured, monitored, and reported on
* Maintain an up-to-date programme level benefits realisation tracker.
* Carry out tactical and strategic programme financial & benefits analysis to develop analytical products and briefings, develop inferences and inform decisions.
* Collect, collate, evaluate and analyse information from a variety of internal and external sources, as guided by the programme team, producing high quality analytical products to support benefits monitoring and reporting.
* Regularly present the results of analysis in the most suitable format to all relevant parties, including outside organisations.
* Gather, verify and assess all appropriate and available information to gain an accurate understanding of situations and their strategic context.
* Exercise discretion and professional judgement to ensure decisions/recommendations are appropriate and proportionate, reviewing all decisions in the light of new information.
* Take ownership of workloads, keeping people informed of progress and managing expectations where necessary.
* As appropriate, assist Business Analysts with analytical support for the more complex Business Process Improvements and undertake work as required to provide appropriate analysis in specific work packages presenting findings as appropriate.
* Escalating relevant risks, issues, and dependencies identified through analysis within the programme team.
* Any other duties that are commensurate with the role and grade as may be requested by management.
About You:
* Experience: Significant experience working in a role supporting cultural and technology- enabled businesses change projects, including a background with knowledge of reporting on benefits, finance and risk.
* Skills: Significant experience in using Microsoft Office suite (notably power BI and Excel).
* Communication: Strong ability to communicate both quantitative and qualitative information, orally and in writing
* Technical Proficiency: Ability to create effective and dynamic reporting tools
* Attributes: Proven ability to work to targets, deliver objectives, effectively and proactively monitor benefits. A drive and passion to learn new skills and openly adapt approach.
