Location: Cullompton, Devon (EX15)
Hours: 6am – 3:30pm Monday–Thursday, 6am – 12:30pm Friday. Extra hours required in November & December.

The Role
This is a hands-on training role where you will be taught the craft of butchery alongside the preparation of our award-winning small goods. You'll begin by learning poultry work and assisting with carcass breakdown, before progressing to beef, lamb, mutton, and pork butchery. Alongside this, you will be trained in our small goods department, producing sausages, burgers, and other value-added products from start to finish.
You will rotate between both areas, gaining full exposure to the flow of meat from carcass to finished product, while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and artisan quality.

Skills & Qualifications
* Knife skills (essential; training provided to develop further).

* Interest in meat preparation and food production.
Key Responsibilities
* Training in poultry and red meat carcass work.
* Assisting in the preparation and packing of sausages, burgers, mince, and other small goods.
* Supporting production with clean-down and general duties.
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene, traceability, and quality control.
* Following HACCP processes (temperature control, allergen labelling, sterilisation, etc.).
