Job Title : Authorized Person- Lifting Contract Length: 12 Months Location: Salisbury, UK-Full-time onsite Description: The client is looking for an Accessibility Specialist provides support, advice, and guidance to other roles about how to create accessible digital services. They will use knowledge of accessibility guidelines, provide technical expertise, and bring the voice of disabled users to ensure that product teams make digital services that can be used by everyone. Job specification: Provide a single competent authority accountable for lifting assurance. Standardise lifting governance across sites. Ensure alignment with Safe to Start and regulatory obligations. Train and develop a designated client staff member to AP competency level to enable long-term internal resilience and continuity. Provide professional advice and guidance for lifting. Develop, implement, and maintain a client lifting policy, process, and related forms and documentation. Prepare, review, and approve lifting plans and associated documentation. Supervise and oversee complex lifts on site when required. Review contract lift safety documentation and lift plans prior to execution. Attend and contribute to topic-specific meetings, reviews, and working groups. Essential: Proven experience managing lifting operations, including planning and supervising complex lifts. In-depth knowledge of lifting legislation, regulations, and safety standards. Strong understanding of contract lift documentation and assurance processes. Familiarity with asset management practices, including CAFM systems. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Ability to analyze and review technical documentation. Demonstrable experience in assurance activities (L1, 2 & 3). Authorized Person needs to be experienced as they will be the main POC for the length of the contract. Will also be training someone within the team. Complex/Heavy lifting experience. Desirable: Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., Lifting Equipment Engineers Association LEEA). Training/qualifying an Appointed Person (lifting operations). Previous experience in public sector environments.
