Transport Team Manager
Rotating shift pattern with start time between 09:00-11:00, working 1 in 3 Saturdays.
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Transport Team Manager to lead and motivate our driver colleagues along with our team of administrators. You’ll be involved in a wide variety of tasks from HR and employee issues, ensuring drivers take regular breaks to keep within the working time directive, to using local area knowledge for re‑routing with support from our planners. The position is customer facing both internally and externally and requires an ability to resolve issues to maintain our reputation.
Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate drivers and administrators.
* Manage HR tasks and employment related issues.
* Ensure drivers comply with working time directives.
* Support planners, providing local knowledge for re‑routing.
* Provide customer‑facing support internally and externally.
* Resolve issues to maintain reputation.
* Maintain standards in service, health, safety and compliance.
* Ensure costs align with budgetary requirements.
Qualifications
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Knowledge and experience in CPC management (Transport Manager's CPC preferred).
* Strong understanding of transport compliance.
* Ability to take accountability for the fleet and workforce.
