Line Operative – Flitwick
Newstaff Employment is hiring a reliable Line Operative in Flitwick to join a busy production team. In this role, you will help keep the production line running smoothly, maintain high standards, and support daily output in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Flitwick
Salary: £12.71 per hour, plus a 20% shift premium when all hours are worked, increasing the rate to £14.65 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, rotating shift pattern, 5 days on and 2 days off, Monday to Sunday

Key Responsibilities
1. Operate production line machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
2. Assemble and pack products accurately to meet company standards
3. Check product quality throughout the production process
4. Therefore, identify any issues quickly and report them without delay
5. Support the team with basic troubleshooting on the line
6. Keep the work area clean, tidy, and safe at all times
7. Work closely with colleagues to achieve daily production targets
8. Follow all health and safety procedures consistently
9. Report faults, hazards, or concerns to supervisors straight away
Essential Skills & Experience
10. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production role is preferred
11. Ability to operate machinery safely and follow instructions carefully
12. Strong attention to detail and a clear focus on quality
13. Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
14. Flexibility to work rotating shifts and varied working days
15. Dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated approach
16. A basic understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing setting is an advantage
