About the Role:
The Legal Practice Lead - Property will serve as the subject matter expert and primary contact for Lawhive's Property practice. Responsible for overseeing high-quality legal services in residential and commercial property, mentoring lawyers, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role is vital for developing Lawhive's in-house legal team and enhancing our reputation through thought leadership and client initiatives. The ideal candidate has 8+ years PQE, a passion for tech-driven solutions, strong leadership skills, and alignment with our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing expertise on residential and commercial property disputes, including lease extensions, license for alterations, service charge disputes, tribunal applications, land registry applications, negotiations, and property sales/purchases.
2. Guiding on complex transactions, chains, mortgage panels, and title defect resolutions, as well as contentious matters like rent recovery and lease forfeiture disputes.
3. Resolving escalated client complaints and acting as the main point of contact for queries.
4. Monitoring risks in service delivery and collaborating to ensure consistency and quality.
5. Keeping lawyers updated on legislation, case law, and best practices.
6. Working with Operations and Product teams to improve legal resources, workflows, and client outcomes.
7. Representing Lawhive as a thought leader through client engagement, articles, and industry events.
Requirements:
1. 8+ years PQE with at least 2 years managing large teams.
2. Deep expertise in Residential Property Litigation.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
5. Client-focused with a commitment to service excellence.
