The Design department is responsible for developing innovative, practical, and fully coordinated mechanical and electrical building services solutions tailored to each project. Working closely with clients, project teams, and the BIM department, the design team transforms concepts into detailed, build-ready technical designs that meet regulatory standards, client specifications, and sustainability goals. Their work underpins the technical accuracy and efficiency of our installations, ensuring seamless integration from planning through to construction.
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in delivering sustainable energy solutions that support the UK and Europe’s transition to low-carbon infrastructure. You’ll contribute to high-profile projects across healthcare, education, leisure, and high-rise residential sectors, helping shape greener communities through innovative design. Your scope will include designing general power and lighting systems, boiler plant electrical layouts, CHP generators, circulation pumps, inverters, and BMS control equipment. You’ll work closely with an experienced design team using the latest AutoCAD and MEP 3D software to produce coordinated, build-ready electrical designs. Your work will directly support the UK’s transition to low-carbon infrastructure, helping deliver energy-efficient systems that reduce emissions and contribute to national decarbonisation goals.

What You’ll be Doing:
* Conduct Site Surveys of existing services to determine appropriate options for existing integration with BMS control packages.
* Prepare relevant electrical design drawings, plant selections, cabling routes and installation specification guides at the various design stages of the project i.e. – from initial concept design through to tender, construction and completion.
* Develop project specific BMS control panel drawings and description of operation to match the selected plant.
* Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards.
* Attendance at project design meetings when required.
* Ability to work in conjunction with contracts managers and commissioning teams to assist in the commissioning process including proofing and streamlining of BMS controls operation.
* Liaising professionally with clients, suppliers, contractors and other relevant authorities as necessary at an extremely professional level.
* Travel to company sites in Scotland, England and Wales may be required occasionally.
