SEN Teacher Location: Caerphilly Salary: £28,288 - £44,304 Contract: Full time (40 hours per week), permanent position. Start date: As soon as possible / September 2026. School Staffing Solutions are working with a school in Caerphilly who need an SEN Teacher. They provide high quality learning experiences within a small, nurturing environment to secondary school aged children who have an IDP/ALN Statement and have ADHD and/or express behaviours that are challenging or inappropriate in a community setting. Class sizes are small. The staff to student ratio is usually 2:4 in all classes. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories. Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Promote pupils' social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches. Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school's behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct. Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support About you: Qualifications & Experience Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in special education settings.
