Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in primary, secondary, or college settings.
* Offer tailored assistance to students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning challenges.
* Aid teachers in customizing lessons to accommodate individual needs using PECS, Makaton, and sensory-based learning methods.
* Facilitate the development of students' confidence, independence, and social skills through structured interventions.
* Implement behavior management strategies and offer emotional support as required.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to foster a supportive learning environment.
* Promote inclusion and engagement, ensuring all students have access to learning opportunities.
Requirements
Requirements:
* Graduates in Psychology, Education, SEN, Social Work, or related fields seeking practical experience.
* Experienced Teaching Assistants, Youth Workers, or Support Workers passionate about SEN.
* A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children and young people.
* Familiarity or experience with SEN strategies such as PECS, Makaton, Team Teach, or de-escalation techniques (desirable but not essential).
* A commitment to learning and participating in ongoing CPD and training.
