How You’ll Make An Impact
As the Employee Relations Lead, EMEA, you will define and advance our global ER strategy, aligning it with talent and business priorities. You will craft scalable employee relations approaches, lead impactful initiatives, and oversee complex ER matters across EMEA. Working closely with Legal and People teams, you will ensure compliance with local employment laws, promote positive employee experiences, and support leaders in managing sensitive workplace issues confidently and compassionately.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert guidance and support for employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, workforce reductions, change management, grievances, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
* Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and People Business Partners across Europe.
* Ensure ER activities comply with local labor laws and internal policies.
* Partner with legal counsel to manage risks and support investigations or legal proceedings.
* Monitor changes in employment law and update policies accordingly.
* Contribute to designing and implementing scalable ER processes across the region.
* Support collective labor negotiations with works councils or social partners as needed in France, Germany, and Spain.
* Deliver training and workshops on employee relations topics to foster a culture of continuous learning aligned with Dataiku’s values.
* Manage case processes including investigations, grievances, and disciplinary actions, analyzing trends to improve employee experience and organizational culture.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
* 6+ years of experience in employee relations or HR legal advisory roles within a global, fast-paced environment.
* Proven success managing complex ER cases across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
* Practical, business-oriented approach to resolving ER issues.
* Deep knowledge of French and German employment laws; UK labor law experience is a plus.
* Fluent in French, German, and English (verbal and written).
* Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
What Will Make You Stand Out
* Experience working with works councils or trade unions.
* Experience in a global, matrixed organization, preferably in software development.
* Certification or formal training in employment law or employee relations.
