Principal / Associate Electrical Engineer - Glasgow or Edinburgh

Working within a highly respected Building Services Engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering innovative, sustainable and technically challenging projects while helping to advance energy efficiency, air quality improvements and decarbonisation initiatives.

Your Role
* Lead and deliver electrical building services designs from concept through to detailed design.
* Design electrical systems including power, lighting, life safety systems, telecommunications, security systems, lifts and lightning protection.
* Demonstrate strong team leadership capabilities, work-winning experience, commercial awareness and confidence in client-facing environments.
* Produce detailed electrical calculations using software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux and Excel.
* Prepare technical specifications, design reports and client presentations.
* Work closely with BIM teams, applying your knowledge of Revit for modelling and drawing production.
* Attend and represent the business at client and stakeholder meetings.
* Undertake site surveys, inspections and commissioning reviews.
* Manage your workload to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
* Support and mentor junior engineers within the team.
About You
* Strong experience within Building Services Engineering with a passion for high-quality building design.
* Curious, innovative and motivated to explore new approaches and technologies.
* Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership through a recognised professional institution.
* Proficient in industry-standard software including Amtech/ProDesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS and Microsoft Office applications.
* Working knowledge of Revit and BIM processes.
* Solid understanding of UK technical standards, regulations and industry codes.
* Familiarity with energy reduction strategies, decarbonisation and energy/carbon analysis.
* Experience with commissioning, performance evaluation and design for measurement and verification.
Desirable
* High-voltage (HV) design experience.
