The Opportunity
Our highly regarded client is seeking a Project Designer to manage hospitality, commercial kitchen, and catering projects from initial client brief through to technical design and project delivery. This role combines client-facing project ownership with AutoCAD design and technical coordination.
The Role
Manage projects from initial client brief through to quotation, design, and installation support
Conduct client meetings and site surveys, developing practical and commercially viable design solutions
Produce AutoCAD layouts, elevations, equipment schedules, and technical drawing packages
Design commercial kitchens, serveries, and hospitality environments
Prepare equipment specifications and support project quotations
Liaise with clients, suppliers, estimating teams, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle
Assist with M&E coordination and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
The Applicant
Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Interior Design, Architectural Technology, Product Design, Spatial Design, or a related discipline
Minimum 1 year's AutoCAD design experience within commercial kitchens, catering xsngvjr equipment, foodservice, hospitality fit-out, or related sectors
Experience dealing directly with clients, taking project briefs, presenting designs, and managing projects through the design process
Strong technical drawing, space planning, and communication skills
Experience with 2D/3D design software would be advantageous
Knowledge of commercial kitchen workflows, M&E coordination, and equipment specification is essential, experience int he construction industry would also be considered
