Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker Higher Level - Community - Band 3 to work within Copeland Unit West Cumberland Hospital. The role involves supporting patients with complex needs within the community setting, developing integrated care with other health and social care professionals, and ensuring high standards of care. Daily working hours are 12-hour shifts (06:45-19:15 and 18:45-07:15).
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Support Worker Higher Level - Community - Band 3 in a multi‑disciplinary team, you will work with other health and social care professionals to develop the ethos of multi‑disciplinary, integrated care and seamless services ensuring that patient care is delivered to the highest possible standard. Working under the direction of a registered health care professional, you will undertake a range of delegated patient nursing and care duties, including clinical observations, recording patient information, supporting personal hygiene and activities of daily living, and carrying out nursing procedures. You will also assess patients, plan and implement care, provide advice and education to patients, carers and colleagues, maintain associated records, and carry out delegated management tasks including line management of other team members. Flexible working is required.

Essential Qualifications
* Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent clinical care duties competency, including theoretical knowledge, clinical observations, and knowledge of data protection and health and safety legislation.
* National Care Certificate or commitment to complete within 12 weeks of commencement.
* Numeracy and literacy Level 2.
Desirable Qualifications
* Undertaken relevant additional training for Clinical Support Workers.
Essential Knowledge and Experience
* Experience of working in health or social care.
* Experience of undertaking and recording clinical observations and escalating findings.
* Working knowledge of legislation underpinning care provision.
* Understanding of documentation standards, safeguarding, work‑related boundaries and GDPR confidentiality.
Desirable Knowledge and Experience
* Familiarity with current NHS and social care policies.
* Computer skills.
* Nursing policies and procedures.
* Evidence of understanding of Trust Business.
* Previous experience working in the Trust.
