About the Role
HMG Aerospace’s dynamic and forward‑thinking sales department is responsible for growing business development activities across the company’s various media portfolios. Reporting to the publisher, responsibilities include:
* Managing the business development of advertising and sponsorship sales across print and digital platforms for a leading media portfolio within the aerospace industry
* Majority of sales work will be performed over the telephone but, on occasion, face‑to‑face presentations will be required, such as when attending international trade events
* Managing existing accounts and actively developing new business by identifying leads
* Expected to achieve sales targets and present accurate prospects and revenue updates on a regular basis
* Keeping client database up‑to‑date via a CRM system with new and existing contacts
* Working with designers and production team to ensure the smooth transition of client advertising campaigns
* Collaborating with team members to consider new projects and/or brand extensions to drive revenue streams
* As an international business, on occasion, you may be required to work outside normal business hours
Experience and Skills
* Minimum of two years media sales experience (B2B environment is an advantage)
* Good sales technique, including negotiation skills and overcoming objections
* Proven track record in delivering on sales growth and business development
* Overall professional approach to the sales function
* Ability to handle pressure situations with strict deadlines
* Confident individual with a creative approach
* Enthusiastic and driven to get the job done
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Good communication skills, both written and verbally
* Ability to adapt to negotiations with people from various cultures
* Comfortable with international travel, on occasion potentially alone
* Good IT skills with knowledge of using MS Office, as well as video calling platforms such as MS Teams and/or Zoom
* Experience with CRM software is an advantage
