What will you be doing?
Leading research, development, and innovation in teaching, learning, and coaching practice across theorganisation. The R&D Leadmaintainsdeep awareness of educational evidence, best practice, and sector developments, applying these to shape teaching models, testnew approaches, and support continuous improvement. The role’sinitialpriority is to complete and embed the review of Lifetime’s teaching model, thenleadongoing experimentation and iteration to enhance learner outcomes.
What will you bring to the role?
* Strong grounding in teaching, learning, and assessment in FE, apprenticeships, or a comparable training environment.
* Proven ability to interpret educational research and translate it into practical, applied approaches.
* Experience contributing to teaching model design, pedagogical frameworks, or instructional improvement.
* Comfortable running pilots, evaluating impact, and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
* Skilledcommunicatorable to simplify complex ideas and influence change across teams.
It would be great if you had:
* Academic background or formal study in education, pedagogy, or related fields,or equivalent professional experience.
* Experience working with curriculum design, coaching development, or learning innovation.
* Knowledge of Ofsted EIF expectations and how pedagogy contributes to learner outcomes.
* Curious, analytical, and creative thinker motivated by improving teaching craft and learner experience
