Learning designer

Offer description

Your newpany
You will be joining a global not-for-profit organisation where science meets academic research to help publish findings impacting the environment and sustainability. This is a short-term contract where 20–25 days' work is required from the end of October 2025. The work must bepleted by the end of December. Our client is supportive of remote working for this position, and they are open to considering full-time or part-time working patterns to deliver this work.

Your new role
Joining a team of digital learning designers, you will take on a specific project during your time which is to update courses where the subject has evolved slightly since its creation. You will work with the SME's to understand the required changes, manage expectations in terms of what is possible and make alternative suggestions when required. You will then work through these changes in Moodle and will keep your stakeholders updated on progress.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking to speak to experienced digital learning designers with experience of using Moodle as a platform. Due to the short-term nature of this project, it's essential you can start by the end of October and that you can be available for 20–25 days between the 25th October and the 12th December, which are the key deadlines our client needs to meet for this project. You will have strong customer service/stakeholder management experience, and it will be an added bonus if you have previously supported stakeholders in a scientific/academic environment.

What you'll get in return
Our client is happy to support a fully remote working arrangement for this role (although candidates must remain in the UK during this time) as well as a range of flexible working arrangements in terms of how the 20–25 days are split up. They will give 2 days worth of training on their tone of voice/key design principles to bring you up to speed on how they do things. Subject to performance and your availability, our client may ask you to stay on for additional projects or call you back for future projects, so this would really suit a consultant/freelancer looking to build up their client list.
