Consultant Psychiatrist, General Adult – Darwen CMHT Location: Daisyfield Mill, Appleby Street, Blackburn, BB1 3BL, Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust

This full‑time (10 PA) posting is part of a group of six Consultant Psychiatrist posts within the Pennine Lancs locality. The role is based at Daisyfield Mill in Blackburn and will not include inpatient responsibilities.
Main Duties
Provide medical leadership to the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) multidisciplinary team.
Work collaboratively with Mental Health Nursing, Pharmacists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Social Workers.
Participate in the Consultant On‑Call rota, with additional remuneration.
Offer teaching and supervision to resident doctors, medical students, and other professionals.

Opportunity for clinical supervision and study leave funding (£3,000–£5,000 over 3 years).

Essential Qualifications
MBBS or equivalent.
Full GMC registration, Licence to Practice.
On GMC Specialist Register or eligible to gain registration within 6 months of interview.
Section 12 approved at commencement of employment.
Approved Clinician (AC) status or eligibility within 6 months of interview.
Essential Experience Knowledge, skills and experience relevant to adult community psychiatry and CMHT delivery.
