Who are we?
We are a small but popular independent bar and kitchen in Cleckheaton, serving high quality steaks, bar snacks, plates and platters, Sunday roasts and bottomless brunch. Our kitchen is small and open providing a central focus of our busy venue.
We pride ourselves in our unique offer, serving the highest quality food and drink in an informal yet first class venue. We're looking for a passionate and ambitious Chef to join our team and grow with us.
We open Thursdays - Sundays and Bank Holidays. Successful candidate will not be required to work every weekend as cover will be arranged.
About the Role
You'll begin by working closely with our existing chefs, learning our menus, standards, and kitchen systems. As your confidence grows you'll transition into running the kitchen independently — leading service, managing prep, and maintaining quality and consistency, with the support of our kitchen porters.

Duties
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
* Create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Supervise kitchen porters, providing guidance and training to enhance their culinary skills.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with management and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
* Monitor kitchen equipment for maintenance needs and ensure proper usage among staff.
