Ground Maintenance Operative

Save Share Apply now We are looking for a Temporary Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team and help maintain outdoor spaces across East London. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week), working from allocated sites with occasional office attendance.

About the Role As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in keeping our outdoor environments tidy, safe, and enjoyable. Your day-to-day work will include:
1. Mowing, lawn care and planting
2. Pruning, hedge cutting and seasonal upkeep
3. Weeding, border maintenance and general landscaping
4. Operating horticultural machinery (mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers, blowers)
5. Undertaking pesticide application (PA1 & PA6)
6. Working effectively as part of a team
What We're Looking For
7. Previous horticultural experience
8. Strong plant knowledge
9. Ability to prioritise tasks throughout the seasons
10. Good written and verbal communication skills
11. IT literacy
12. Full driving licence
13. Someone who enjoys practical outdoor work
A Basic DBS check will be required for this role.
