Overview
We are looking for Theatre Support workers to join our amazing team at Royal Preston Hospital. Our Theatre support workers play an essential role in the smooth running of our theatres and help us maintain high quality patient care in an environment which is clean & safe. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our theatre team within Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust. There will be a rotation of shifts including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
* Support the theatre team in achieving the highest standards of patient care
* Participate as a member of the circulating team to assist the scrub practitioner during surgery
* Be reassuring for patients who may be anxious about going into the operating theatre
* Support and flexible approach to service delivery and movement of clean/dirty instrumentation throughout the theatre complex
* Promote Trust Values and maintain a clean and safe environment
Qualifications / Requirements
* Flexible team player with good communication skills
* Ability to demonstrate and promote Trust Values
* Willingness to undertake in-house training and develop skills in a hospital environment
