Baker in the Bay is a small bakery in the centre of Whitley bay.
We produce traditional sourdough Breads, Pastries and cakes. All our products are specialties in different countries mainly former members of the Hanseatic trading league. That traded with the Baltics, Scandinavia,France and Britain originating from Germany.
Role Description
This is a full time, on-site role for a Baker located in Whitley Bay. The Baker will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bakery products. Day-to-day tasks will include measuring and mixing ingredients, monitoring oven temperatures, and ensuring baked goods meet quality standards.
Keeping track on stock and ordering. The Baker will also maintain a clean and organized work environment. You should be able to start working on a Saturday at 3am and will finish your shift at 11am.
The working week would look like this:
Tue to Fri : 4am to 12pm
Sat: 3am to 11am
Qualifications
* Experience in Bakery, Baking, and Food Preparation
* Ability to bake and prepare a variety of products including Pastries and Bread
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
* Strong attention to detail and precision in following recipes
* Ability to work early mornings and weekends
* Excellent organizational skills
* Experience in a commercial bakery setting is a plus
