Sripuram Varahi Amman temple require a religious worker who can perform Thavil, during the religious ceremonies,, who come from traditional South Indian / Sri Lankan musician order, must have undergone training under reputable Saiva Hindu Organisation, Applicants must have extensive previous proven experience, must be a strict vegetarian. To contribute to the organisation growth through the quality service to ensure the spiritual needs of the devotees.
*You must have received the required special religious coordination and music training Perform Thavil (barrel shaped percussion instrument) music during Hindu worship services which include ceremonies and rituals. Coordinate with priests to perform music during all pooja, Homam and abhishekam times morning, afternoon and evening.
*Typical Hindu rituals and ceremonies may include daily deity worship (i.e. archana, homa or aarti), special deity celebrations (i.e. Lord Vinayagar, Sri Murugan, Sri Durga Puja, Shiva Abhishekham), special ceremonies (i.e. Chariot festival procession, Skanda Sashti, Navarathri, Weddings, Valakaappu, Poonule Sadanghu and special fesitivals throughout the year or navagraha puja) and life sacrament ceremonies (samskaras or weddings, prebirth, sacred thread and last rites).
*Applicant must be experienced to play music for all types of poojas and all these include mangala vaadhyam, various devotional songs with all Ragas and Thalam according to each respective deity on auspicious days.
*Must be able to effectively and knowledgeably serve Hindu temple and community's worship service needs.
*Provide training and engage in the religious activity of installing knowledge and skills to local staff and be well versed in the specific lineage, scripture and worship services of the tradition lineage and certified by temple trust and recognised by the sampradaya.
Applicant must be Tamil speaking and practicing Hinduism. It is essential that the applicant must have experience in working as a religious worker performing Thavil music in temple.
