Achieva are looking for a Principal Engineer, for one of the top manufacturers in the defence sector. As the principal Engineer you will be responsible for the preparation of the estate major maintenance and life-cycle plan budgets, advising on the condition of the estate and carrying out an ongoing detailed assessment of the condition of the mechanical, electrical & plumbing services. The successful Principal Engineer will be working alongside the FM site operations managers to prioritise works considering business objectives and plans for the buildings, age of the buildings and degree of confidence in the condition of the asset. The ideal Principal Engineer Bachelor’s degree in building services engineering or proven experience CEng and Member of CIBSE would be desirable Experience in the preparation of scope of works and performance specifications for planned maintenance and Capital works packages. Experienced in the assessment and implementation of energy efficient solutions and standard processes. Experienced in assessing M&E asset condition and preparing planned maintenance programmes and the associated financial planning of 5-year maintenance budgets. Familiar with the asset management principles of ISO550001. Experienced in providing technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
