Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cluster Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a group of petrol stations across the North. This role combines hands-on site management with office-based duties at our head office, ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and profitability across the cluster.
The Cluster Manager will play a key role in supporting site managers and staff, implementing company standards, driving operational excellence, performing office-based activities and commuting between sites.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Oversee the daily operations of multiple petrol station sites, ensuring compliance with health & safety, legal, and company standards.
Monitor site performance, ensuring high levels of customer service, stock control, and operational efficiency.
Implement procedures for fuel management, cash handling, and loss prevention.
Staff Management & Development
Lead, support, and develop site managers and staff across the cluster.
Organise recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
Manage staff rotas, absence reporting, and HR-related matters in line with company policy.
Financial & Commercial
Monitor sales performance, margins, and costs across all sites.
Support in setting and achieving financial targets.
Analyse sales trends and identify opportunities to maximise profitability.
Office-Based Responsibilities
Complete reporting, administration, and compliance documentation at head office.
Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and head office departments.
Support in planning promotions, pricing strategies, and business development projects.
Leadership & Communication
Act as the key link between head office and site teams.
Ensure smooth communication and consistent standards across all stations.
Represent the company professionally with external stakeholders.

Previous experience in multi-site management (ideally within retail, forecourt, or convenience sectors).
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Financial acumen and ability to interpret sales and operational reports.
Confident communicator with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
Flexible and able to travel between sites as required.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in retail management, with at least 1 year in multi-site or area management.
Experience within the petrol retail or forecourt sector desirable.
IT proficient (Microsoft Office, EPOS systems).
Full driving licence required.
