The Highway Management team forms part of the wider Highway Management Group, which also delivers Sustainable Travel, Parking and Enforcement, Urban Traffic Control, and Highway Permitting services—helping us maintain one of the best-performing highway networks in the country. With significant change ahead, this is your chance to help shape how people travel in the future. About You To succeed in this role, you will have, a Level 4 qualification (e.g., HNC) or above in Engineering or a related subject, or substantial relevant experience and training in civil engineering, highway management or similar. Detailed knowledge and experience of traffic management, collision analysis, road safety, and statutory requirements. Proven experience implementing Traffic Regulation Orders. Strong partnership working skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. This is an essential car user role. You will be required to travel across the borough to oversee highway management projects. Applicants must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
