About The Role
The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for driving business growth in line with annual category sales, profit, and margin targets. They will develop and shape supplier campaigns to maximise the profitability of their product range and work cross-functionally to deliver growth across all sales channels, including B2B, B2C, and Key Accounts. The PM is expected to stay up to date with all product technical information, applications, future developments, supplier marketing, and promotional plans.
Responsibilities
Champion & Support the Product Category
* Act as the company's product champion with a high level of technical and commercial understanding.
* Support sales and product-related inquiries, engaging with the branch network to provide technical expertise.
* Offer technical product support for Automotive Hand Tools, Power Tools, and Specialty Tools (e.g., timing, suspension, braking).
* Support branch network pricing, inquiries, and technical assistance.
* Coordinate with suppliers for demonstrations and customer events.
* Organise training events (online and in-person) as required.
* Collaborate with key accounts and stakeholders.
* Schedule and deliver training sessions in partnership with the GE Team and suppliers.
* Develop marketing materials and visual aids for staff and customers.
Product Management Requirements
Manage the complete lifecycle of products, including:
* Introducing new products and strengthening existing categories through supplier selection, pricing, and branding to meet margin targets.
* Setting up products and pricing across systems with the Pricing Team.
* Forecasting demand and managing inventory.
* Creating marketing activities and promotional plans.
* Using sales forecasts and strategic planning to maximise sales and profitability.
* Meeting E&O targets for product exit strategies.
* Providing sales, inventory, and supplier activity reports.
About You
* Strong knowledge of automotive tools and their applications.
* Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Proven expertise in product and category management.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Customer-focused approach.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Self-motivated with a proactive attitude, flexible, and eager to learn.
* Ability to work under pressure and independently.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
