Business Architect
Background
Schroders Wealth Transformation team has a remit across the transformation lifecycle from strategy to execution. We collaborate with our business and technology partners across the Schroders Group to enable our Cazenove and Schroders International Wealth business to thrive in an increasingly competitive, regulated and margin pressured global landscape by shaping, mobilising and delivering both transformational and essential change to allow the business to grow profitably while providing high levels of investment performance and client experience.

The team
We are one of the largest UK-based wealth management firm, headquartered in London but with offices around the country. We help private clients, families, charities and some institutions meet their long term goals by offering our expertise in investment, wealth planning, lending and family office services. We draw on the resources of the Schroders group, as well as having our own in house investment team.

What you'll do
Work with the Principle Business Architect for Wealth Management, driving the design and delivery of future-state business architecture across the business. This role will focus on both tactical and strategic end-to-end target operating model development, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision making and insight generation.
Key Responsibilities
* Future State Design & Strategy
* Lead the definition and design of target operating models, focusing on efficient, scalable processes that support business vision and strategic objectives.
* Act as a key support to the Business Architect for Wealth Management, contributing to long-range planning and roadmap development.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish architectural standards and ensure alignment with business and technology strategy.
* Data and Insight
* Leverage data analysis to support process design and optimisation, ensuring decisions are evidence-based and outcomes measurable.
* Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI, providing actionable insights to stakeholders and supporting strategic planning and monitoring.
* Promote a data-led culture across the team, building capability in the collection, analysis, and visualisation of management information.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
* Facilitate cross-functional workshops, guiding diverse teams towards consensus on future processes and architectural decisions.
* Build strong relationships across the organisation, acting as an advocate for strategic change and ensuring buy-in to vision and approach.
* Mentor and upskill the team on business architecture and process transformation best practice.
* Governance & Performance Monitoring
* Establish and maintain governance models to oversee future-state process implementation.
* Monitor initiative progress against defined benefits and KPIs, recommending course correction and continuous improvement as needed.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in business architecture, process design, or strategic change within financial services or a related environment.
* Track record of leading the development of target operating models and future state solutions.
* Strong analytical skills, highly data-oriented and able to interpret data and trends to inform and shape future business models.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Power BI, with experience developing interactive dashboards and operational or strategic reporting solutions.
* Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience establishing trust at all organisational levels.
* Experience in facilitating workshops, using modelling tools (e.g. Visio) to visualise and communicate architecture and process flows.
* Familiarity with project and change management methodologies, and the ability to apply these in the context of strategic transformation.
* Ability to balance strategic vision with practical execution, maintaining focus on long-term business value rather than short-term fixes.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of producing high-quality business, process, and requirements documentation.
