Job Description
As the Engineering Manager (NPI, Design, Technical) you will be tasked with the following;
3. Manage end-to-end new product introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
4. Scrutinise and ensure product ranges are feasible for manufacture (DFMEA, DFM, PFMEA)
5. Lead a small team of engineers to develop new and existing product range
6. Provide Technical support to customers in order to talk through technical drawings, issues and products.
7. Ensure product designs meet customer requirements and industry standards.
8. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to achieve project goals.
9. Develop and maintain project schedules, risk assessments, and progress reports.
10. Identify and implement process improvements to optimise production efficiency.
11. Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
12. Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
13. Support continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering and manufacturing departments.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Engineering Manager (NPI, Design, Technical) should have:
14. A degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant Engineering field.
15. Proven experience in managing new product introduction (NPI) projects within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
16. An ability to communicate clearly and effectively to customers and internal colleagues.
17. Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
18. Excellent project management and organisational skills.
19. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
20. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
