We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our Construction Team based in Liverpool Location : Speke, Liverpool - Hybrid working available, with travel to the office required 1- 2 days per week Hours : 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us What will you be responsible for? As a Data Engineer, you'll be working within the Construction Team, supporting them in the design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures to support data-driven decision-making within the construction business. Your day to day will include: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from multiple sources. Integrate data from various internal and external sources to create unified datasets for analysis. Manage and optimize databases and data warehouses to support efficient data storage and retrieval. Optimize data processing workflows for performance and scalability. What are we looking for? This role of Data Engineer is great for you if: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Experience in data engineering, preferably within the construction industry Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java. Experience with data engineering tools and frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka. Proficiency in managing relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
