Year 2 Primary Teaching Assistant - Aylesbury
A welcoming primary school in Aylesbury is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the learning and development of students in Year 2 within a friendly, supportive environment.
Position:
The Teaching Assistant will support teachers in the planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities for primary-aged pupils. Working closely with the class teacher and other staff, the successful candidate will help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that enables all children to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with delivering lessons and supporting pupils both individually and in small groups
* Help prepare learning resources and support classroom management, including behaviour support
* Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress
* Carry out administrative duties such as photocopying and filing
* Adapt flexibly to meet the varied needs of the school community
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working in a school or educational setting is preferred, but graduates with a passion for education are also welcome
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
* Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
* Committed to supporting children's academic and social development
