Towpath Team Volunteer roles offer a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new skills, hear about other volunteering opportunities, or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
There are no formal skills required, and you have the chance to volunteer across lots of unique and beautiful environments.
Come and join the Berkhamsted / Hemel Hempstead Towpath Taskforce in tackling a variety of tasks, including lock painting, vegetation management, graffiti removal, towpath repair, litter picks, and area enhancement projects like flower planters and gardens to brighten up the area. All tools and equipment will be provided, along with expert and friendly support. Our activities take place at different locations in Berkhamsted / Hemel Hempstead along the Grand Union Canal from 10:00 to 14:00 on every second Wednesday of each month. Once signed up, you will receive briefings on where the sessions will take place and notifications of any additional sessions planned.
