Private Secretary Group is on the lookout for a Private Medical Secretary to provide exceptional administrative support to our esteemed healthcare professionals. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our clients practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical administration, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch service to both patients and practitioners.

Your responsibilities will include managing appointments, handling correspondence, and maintaining accurate patient records, all while ensuring a positive and professional environment. You will act as a liaison between patients and clinicians, facilitating effective communication and ensuring that all queries are addressed promptly. This position requires keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and patient privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:


* Schedule and manage appointments for patients, ensuring efficient use of time for consultants
* Handle incoming correspondence, including phone calls and emails, with a professional and friendly demeanor
* Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
* Assist in the preparation of reports, referrals, and other medical documents as required
* Manage self-funded billing queries and obtain insured patient data
* Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate smooth operations within the practice
* Follow-up with patients regarding appointments, consultations, and necessary documentation


Requirements

* Proven experience as a medical secretary or in a similar role within a healthcare setting
* In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
* Strong proficiency in office software, particularly MS Office and EMR systems
* Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service focus
* Attention to detail and a professional approach to handling sensitive information
* Relevant qualifications in medical administration or a related field are preferred
