Design Build Search are working with a global leader in the engineering and road maintenance sector. Due to successfully securing a large framework over the next 3 years they are looking for an experienced project Engineer. The successful applicant will be involved in the planning, supervision and delivery of Works Orders consisting of routine and non-routine maintenance throughout Leinster.
Qualifications and Skills Requirement
1. Degree Qualified in Engineering or related field
2. 3+ years setting out experience
3. Project experience on roads and bridge
4. Full driving license
5. Flexible with travel
Responsibilities
1. Site Setting out and supervision.
2. Plan and co-ordinate gangs and subcontractors.
3. Quantifying and Implementation of Project Proposals for internal & Client review
4. Compile Budget costing for Commercial Team
5. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Local Authority contacts, the Emergency Services, Suppliers and Sub-Contractors & stakeholders in general.
6. Liaise with our clients Representatives with regard to works & surveys.
7. When required, produce, document, and maintain all RFI’s, TQ’s, CVI’s, Variation Orders etc., appropriate to each work order.
8. Successfully manage the delivery of the works compliant with Contract Standards
9. Ensure compliance of Health, Safety and Environment aspects of all works to the highest standards
10. Ensure that all employees and Subcontractors under their control are compliant with Company and Legislative HSE Standards.
11. Ensuring Traffic Management is implemented in compliance with our clients JV and national standards.
12. Monitor, control & report subcontractor work performance and quality.
13. Maintain daily production records and diary for all works.
14. Maintain field map logs and data captured from site.
15. Compile information for the Safety File for all specified work orders.
16. Compile and deliver reports as required in accordance with the Contract.
17. Communicate with Line Manager & Senior management, providing progress information and identifying issues of concern in good time.
18. Deliver against QA procedures.
19. Work closely with site personnel & Sub-contractors and document and control working hours.
20. Deliver projects within timelines, budget and compliant with agreed scope & quality.
21. Represent the company at meetings with the TII representatives, Members of the Public and other Stakeholders.
