Job Title: Supply Chain Manager - FM
Location: Hybrid - Farnborough or Bristol
Duration: 6 months
Rate: Up to £700/day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
SC Clearance required (must actively hold or be able to obtain)
Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to deliver best-in-class procurement services for technical equipment, engineered products, systems, software, and components. You will negotiate favourable terms and long-term contracts, drive volume discounts, and oversee the entire sourcing process from requisition through delivery. The role calls for a deep understanding of technology trends, market dynamics, and supplier strategies within Defence, Engineering, and/or Cyber domains.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate contracts and volume discounts with suppliers.
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for technical and custom products.
Build and maintain supplier relationships to support future business aspirations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology and market trends, supplier cost trends, and technology road maps.
Review contracts for compliance with policies; resolve delivery issues and negotiate refunds as required.
Drive sourcing projects collaboratively with key business stakeholders.
Execute procurement strategy for a wide range of projects, identifying risks and opportunities.
Ensure sourcing strategies and supplier selection align with Defence industry requirements and compliance standards.
Work with Bids and Programme Management teams to leverage existing supplier relationships and frameworks.
Champion process, governance, and controls as outlined in the Procurement Code of Practice.
Collaborate across teams to share best practice and continuously improve procurement processes and outcomes.
Develop strategic plans with stakeholders to align targets, improve supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Experience & Qualifications:
Degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
CIPS qualified or equivalent.
Minimum 3+ years' procurement or supply chain experience.
Solid understanding of procurement systems and processes.
Proven track record in contract negotiation.
