Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Operative that has specific experience with Timber to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the running of the warehouse including the picking / loading orders and making room for the next consignment's.
Duties
* Operate forklifts and other machinery for materials handling as required.
* Ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse environment.
* Conduct inspections of cargo and equipment to identify any potential issues.
* Dealing with customers and ensuring their requirements are fully met.
* Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities using a computerised warehouse management system.
* Collaborate with team members to build and secure loads for transport.
* Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a warehouse environment with Timber.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
* Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
* Experience operating forklifts, B2 preferred.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
* Experience with an IT stock warehouse and scanning system, although full training can be given.
