Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Officer to join our busy and growing Finance team to manage the credit control function for the company.


Responsibilities

* Proactively manage the company’s credit control policy, ensuring customers adhere to agreed credit terms.
* Sending invoices and statements to customers.
* Running routine checks via Credit Safe in regards to customer credit ratings before approving credit requests.
* Establishing terms of credit for customers and ensure invoices are paid on time.
* Reconciliation and maintenance of the Debtor’s ledger in several companies across the business.
* Liaising with customers and respond to queries.
* Liaising between company departments.
* Preparing Aged Debt reports for management when required.
* Manage the small claims process for the business, to include preparing and submitting claim files.


Skills and Experience

* Strong organisational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Self-motivated / Positive attitude
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal, written and active listening skills.
* Excellent knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and excellent IT Skills.
* Excellent knowledge of the small claims process.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Previous experience of Sage 200 Accounts is preferable

Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 depending on experience
