About The Role
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
As a Housekeeping Assistant, your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Your attention to detail will be key. Whether managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning, you’ll do so with kindness and care.
HC-One is looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with experience, although we will provide comprehensive training. You should have excellent time management and organizational skills. Your positive energy, ability to get along with others, and strong communication skills—listening as well as instructing—are essential. You will communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues alike.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate steps to take if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns, including escalation if necessary.
We will provide full training, offering you a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you will enjoy a wide range of benefits and support for your wellbeing, including:
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
* Group life assurance cover
* Wagestream for financial wellbeing and flexible pay access
* Learning and development opportunities with support to achieve qualifications
* GP online service for round-the-clock consultations
* Learning from experienced colleagues within a dedicated team
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
* Free access to an Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support
* Recognition schemes such as ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer a friend scheme offering up to £1000 per referral
We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and prioritize inclusive working practices.
Our goal is to ensure a smooth onboarding process, from the job offer to your first day and beyond, providing an excellent working experience at HC-One.
