As Severn Trent ramps up our work to deliver our next 5-year business plan, we’re looking for a Data Solution Architect to help us. In this newly created role, you will work with various stakeholders to understand their needs and define solutions in line with our strategic direction. You will understand business goals and outcomes, ensuring their importance in solution architecture, providing leadership, analysis and design tasks to support the development of technology solutions, and ensuring solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. Using your specialist skills and knowledge, you will define and deliver data solutions that contribute to the development and implementation of IT plans in line with our overall strategy in both IT and the business, and you will act as a Lead Architect on data programs. You’ll be based at our Finham Offices in Coventry. You’ll work within our dedicated Planning & Architecture team of around 20 people. This is a full-time role on a 37-hour week, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
* Define and deliver data solutions that align with Severn Trent’s strategic direction and architectural governance.
* Lead architecture work on data programs, collaborating with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into effective solutions.
* Provide leadership, analysis and design tasks to support development of technology solutions that meet business requirements.
* Ensure solutions integrate with existing IT plans and architectural standards across both IT and the business.
Qualifications
* Experience operating as an architect with expertise in advanced analytic solutions.
* Experience in delivering using Agile/SAFe methodologies.
* Knowledge of leading Data & Machine Intelligence solutions, data pipelines and ML workflows; working knowledge of data warehousing, Lakehouse and real-time data processing.
* Working knowledge of ML Ops is beneficial.
* Strong communication, collaboration and a positive, caring attitude; ability to work across diverse teams.
